PM Modi Hails RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s Centenary Address, Highlights Values for Global Impact

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s centenary address, calling it inspiring and emphasizing the organization’s contributions to nation-building. Speaking at the 100-year celebration of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Nagpur, Bhagwat highlighted the importance of individual character building, the Shakha system’s role in fostering discipline, and the duty of society to promote social harmony and global welfare.

Bhagwat outlined how the Shakha system nurtures both individual and collective qualities, preparing citizens to engage in social activities while upholding basic human values. He stressed that despite historical challenges, the Sangh has maintained its commitment to discipline, service, and societal engagement, fostering cooperation with individuals and institutions across India.

The RSS chief also emphasized national unity amid India’s diverse population, advocating respect for multiple languages, religions, lifestyles, and regional identities. He linked these principles to a broader vision of Hindu society contributing to global welfare, citing the ancient idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world as one family.

For Tier-2 cities and beyond, Bhagwat’s address highlights the importance of grassroots engagement and civic responsibility. The centenary celebrations underscore the continued relevance of disciplined social participation and cultural awareness in shaping India’s future.

The speech concluded with a call to action for Swayamsevaks to internalize these values, actively participate in Shakha activities, and contribute to the nation’s prosperity while fostering harmony and respect at the local and global levels.
