From Sky to Ground: Ringke Case Protects iPhone 17 Pro Max in 1000-Foot Drop Test

Chennai, India, October 8, 2025: A recent drop test by YouTuber TechOOB has drawn attention across the tech community after an iPhone 17 Pro Max, protected by a Ringke Fusion X case, survived a fall from 1,000 feet.

The video, shot using a drone, showed the device plunging from the sky and landing on rough ground. When recovered, the iPhone was still in brand new condition, its screen and frame intact. The result surprised even long-time reviewers and sparked fresh conversations about how far phone-case engineering has come.

Ringke, a South Korean accessories brand, is known for its focus on strength and precision design. Its range for the iPhone 17 lineup includes the Fusion, Fusion-X, Fusion Magnetic, Onyx, Air, Silicon (Soft Touch), and UX series each designed for different levels of grip, protection, and finish. The Fusion-X, used in the test, is the company’s most rugged model and has long been popular among users who prefer extra defense without added bulk.

Beyond cases, Ringke has begun producing GaN-based fast chargers in India and is establishing a manufacturing unit near Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, close to Apple supplier Foxconn. The facility will handle both domestic demand and exports once it becomes operational.

“Tests like these are independent, but they remind us why customers trust our designs,” said K. Senthil Kumar, Country Head of Ringke India. “We build for real-world protection, not just claims on paper.”

As Apple’s iPhone 17 series reaches Indian stores, brands like Ringke are seeing growing demand for high-quality accessories that can keep up with premium devices. For users, the 1,000-foot test is more than a viral video; it’s a sign that serious protection can still look good in your hand.
