Tata Motors has launched the Stealth Edition of its Harrier EV in India, priced at ₹28.24 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant brings a bold blacked-out design, enhanced tech features, and the promise of sustainable mobility. With growing interest in electric vehicles across Indian cities — including Tier 2 markets — this launch reflects Tata’s ongoing push to lead in the evolving EV space.
The Stealth Edition gets an all-black exterior with darkened alloy wheels, black roof rails, and smoked LED lighting elements, giving it a more rugged, futuristic look. Inside, it retains the premium features of the standard Harrier EV but with darker interior tones and subtle cosmetic tweaks.
The EV is based on Tata’s Gen-2 EV architecture and is equipped with an advanced battery pack, expected to offer a real-world range suitable for both city and long-distance travel.
The SUV comes loaded with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, digital driver display, ventilated seats, ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), and multiple drive modes. These features place it in direct competition with mid- to high-end electric SUVs in India.
The vehicle also supports fast charging, offering convenience for users in both urban and semi-urban areas. With Tata’s expanding EV charging network, even Tier 2 cities like Nashik, Surat, and Bhopal are becoming more EV-friendly.
As fuel prices continue to rise and EV awareness increases, buyers in Tier 2 cities are now seriously considering electric vehicles as viable daily drives. Tata’s decision to launch a stylish variant like the Stealth Edition is aimed at capturing aspirational and tech-conscious buyers in these regions.
Also, with state-level EV subsidies and road tax exemptions still applicable in many parts of India, the Harrier EV becomes a more attractive proposition.
Tata Motors has established a strong lead in India’s electric car segment with models like the Nexon EV and Tiago EV. The Harrier EV, especially in its Stealth avatar, aims to appeal to a slightly more premium customer segment.
The company is focusing not just on product launches but also on strengthening infrastructure, servicing, and customer support, ensuring that electric mobility feels reliable and accessible even outside metros.
With the launch of the Harrier EV Stealth Edition at ₹28.24 lakh, Tata Motors has added a stylish and performance-driven option to India’s electric SUV lineup. As interest in EVs continues to grow across Tier 2 cities, this launch could attract a new wave of buyers seeking both design and sustainability — making clean mobility not just practical, but aspirational too.
