Victim’s Lawyer Criticizes BMW Crash Accused in Delhi Court

In a recent Delhi court hearing, the lawyer representing the family of Navjot Singh, a senior finance ministry official killed in a BMW crash, sharply criticized the accused driver, Gaganpreet Kaur. The lawyer contended that owning a luxury car does not absolve one from legal and moral responsibilities, especially when involved in a fatal accident.

The incident occurred near Dhaula Kuan when Singh and his wife, Sandeep Kaur, were riding a motorcycle. The BMW, allegedly driven by Kaur, collided with them, resulting in Singh’s death and severe injuries to his wife. The lawyer emphasized that the accused failed to provide immediate assistance or ensure prompt medical aid, which could have been crucial for the victims.

The court extended Gaganpreet Kaur’s judicial custody until September 27, 2025, and adjourned her bail application. The case has garnered significant attention due to the high-profile nature of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the accident.
